Cr Bye has his roots firmly planted in the Wellington Shire, being born and raised in Sale as well as choosing to raise his family there.

Having been an accountant for 31 years, Cr Bye knows how important small businesses are to the community. He is committed to working with local business and industry to grow the local economy.

Cr Bye is a fishing and sporting enthusiast and avid local volunteer at various community organisations. He has previously held a term as Deputy-Mayor.
