Cr Danny Goss

Cr Danny Goss, was elected to Baw Baw Shire in 2016 and was re-elected in 2020 and 2024. He has served two terms as Mayor in 2020 and 2021 and was elected for a third term in November 2024.

Cr Goss grew up and attended school in Sale and has been a long-term resident of Warragul since 1980. Cr Goss is married with three adult children and five grandchildren. 

Cr Goss has been a long-term member and chair of the Early Years Advisory Committee. He has also served on various other council committees such as audit and Risk, Place Names, Business Advisory and various project reference groups.

Prior to being elected to council, Cr Goss served and chaired many local school boards, was chair and Treasurer of the Warragul Country Club and Jaycees president.

Cr Goss has been self-employed since his early 20s as a CPA and now part-owner of a successful public accounting practice. He still works part-time in that business. 

Outside of council, Cr Goss is an avid reader and gardener. He finds time to walk long distances with his dogs and for the occasional game of golf.
