Looking ahead

One Gippsland will begin the new year with a focus on advocacy in the lead up to the state and federal budgets.

Delegations are scheduled to both Spring Street and Canberra to meet with decision makers to build support for our policy and project priorities for the coming financial year. In Victoria, we will engage with all parties ahead of the state election in November.

A major piece of work to be completed is the Gippsland Regional Plan, which will shape our advocacy program for the coming five years to 2030. 

The key policy areas for our advocacy work in 2026 will include:

  • energy and renewables;

  • freight; and

  • tourism.

We look forward to sharing more details in the coming months.
