Simon Johnson assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer at Food and Fibre Gippsland on 2nd July 2025 after almost four years as a board member.
Simon has had a successful 20-year career with CHEP, a Brambles company and, more recently, as the owner-operator of the award-winning Tinamba Hotel with his wife, Tania.
Simon is a passionate advocate for Gippsland produce and the region as a whole. At the Tinamba Hotel, he is always looking for creative ways to highlight the qualities of Gippsland produce.
Simon plans to continue connecting his network to members and stakeholders of Food and Fibre Gippsland and support the mission of capacity building, innovation and knowledge sharing.
Outside of his professional commitments, Simon is actively involved in the community, including his roles with Committee for Wellington and the Little Jem Foundation, and several local sporting organisations.
